Other Information

Located close to the iconic lighthouse in Southwold, this spacious house is ideal for families or a group of friends wishing to explore Suffolk’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its beaches and wonderful countryside. With Southwold’s North Beach just 150 metres away, you can enjoy all the fun of the seaside and the nearby pier. Southwold Golf Club is 1.5 miles away so be sure to bring your clubs, especially as guests can enjoy free golf (see ‘Need to know’ tab). For a family day out, head to RSPB Minsmere 18.5 miles south and hire an Explorer pack to build a den, investigate minibeasts or play in the Wild Zone.

On the ground floor of this charming red brick house is the elegant lounge/dining room with comfortable leather sofas around a beautiful Victorian feature fireplace and lovely bay windows. The adjoining dining room has a large table and chairs for ten, another gorgeous fireplace and plenty of lamps to create subtle lighting. The kitchen has all you’ll need should you wish to cook, as well as a small breakfast table. A shower room and separate WC complete the ground floor. Three light, bright, gorgeous bedrooms – two doubles and a twin – are to be found on the first floor, all with characterful wrought iron bedsteads and one with a feature fireplace. There’s a pretty bathroom decorated with seaside flair on this floor, and a separate WC. On the second floor, there is a bright double bedroom and two single rooms, also with wrought iron bedsteads, and another shower room.

The enclosed, paved courtyard at the rear of the house has outdoor furniture and is the perfect spot for morning coffee or sundowner drinks.
