Could an empty week in your cottage give a family affected by cancer something to look forward to?

Aspects Holidays and ‘Something To Look Forward To’ are working together to turn otherwise unused holiday cottage stays into precious breaks for people and families affected by cancer.

There is no commitment at this stage, if you are interested, simply leave your details and a member of our small charity team will get in contact to explain how it works and answer any questions.

A week that might otherwise stay empty could mean everything to someone affected by cancer

‘Something To Look Forward To’ supports people affected by cancer and cancer poverty by providing gifts and experiences generously donated by individuals and businesses.

If you have an out of season, midweek or other stay you may be willing to offer, we would love to hear from you.

You do not need to decide on dates before contacting us. An initial enquiry is simply a chance to find out more.

What your gift can make possible

We were able to have precious family time.

Our children have missed out on ‘normal family life’ as I have been fighting cancer for a long time. Being so far away from home forced us to just stop and enjoy. It meant the world to watch my family laugh and relax together and act like children, rather than having ‘to be brave’.

It starts with a simple conversation

Making an enquiry does not commit you to donating a stay

1. Tell us you’re interested

Leave your name and contact details below. You do not need to choose a date first.

2. We explain everything

One of our small charity team will contact you, explain how the scheme works and answer your questions.

3. You decide

If it feels right for you, we can then discuss a suitable stay that you may wish to gift.

You stay in control

  • You choose what you are comfortable offering

  • Out-of-season and midweek stays are very welcome

  • A gift does not have to be a full week — shorter stays can also help

  • Service charges and deposits can be paid by the gift recipient if you choose

  • You can ask us anything before deciding to donate

A few common questions

No. You can donate as many or as few nights as you wish. A weekend, midweek break or full week can all make a real difference.
No. We do not expect owners to donate peak periods. Low-season and midweek availability is very welcome.
No. If you are simply interested in finding out more, please contact us first. We can talk through the process before you decide whether you would like to offer a stay.
The gift recipient can be asked to pay a service charge and deposit set by you. Some owners choose to waive these charges and others use them to reduce their out-of-pocket costs. This is entirely up to you.
Holiday cottage stays are one of our main gifts. They are allocated carefully rather than on a first-come, first-served basis. We consider factors including medical circumstances, financial impact, previous support received from the charity and whether the property is suitable for the individual or family.
