Experience some of the darkest skies in Northumberland.
Ilderton Dod Barns at Ilderton Dod are situated in Northumberland National Park, apparently built in the 1600s when life was lived at a slower pace. They’re a mile-and-a-half up a private farm track (accessible by car in all but extreme weather) but for those that require it, there is 4G mobile phone coverage!
The converted farm buildings are in the middle of an 1800-acre working hill farm so you may well see action involving tractors, sheep, cattle and working collies during your stay. Close by The Barns is the original farm house, a small cottage rented by Jill and Anthony, born and bred Northumbrian’s, who know the area well.
We are thrilled to be offering a long weekend in this wonderful, remote former cow byres and hayloft.
Ground floor – 2 large shower rooms, kitchen, open plan living / dining area with TV and DVD player.
First floor – large bedroom divided in 2 for up to 6 people – 1 king-sized bed and a sofa bed in one section, 2 singles and a sturdy bunk behind wooden panelling that can be opened right up if desired.
