Other Information

Farm cottage with wonderful views, high in the hills of the Black Mountains in Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) National Park. Enjoy the many walking and cycling routes in the area, or simply relax in an armchair by the log burner. Pen Y Caeau Farm cottage is self-contained with its own entrance and private terrace, set on our farm and adjoins the main farmhouse. Peaceful yet close to Crickhowell, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye by car, it is the perfect base for exploring or relaxation.

The cottage has its own entrance, with parking for two cars on the farmyard, and a private terrace where you can sit out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the hills. You may see red kites and buzzards circling overhead, swallows and house martins dancing in the summer, sheep and ponies in the fields and the occasional tractor working. We are in a Dark Sky Reserve and on a clear night you can enjoy magical starry skies.

The cottage has a full kitchen with dining area, a cosy living room with leather armchairs and sofa, a log burner and double doors which open onto the terrace overlooking the mountains. Upstairs there is sleeping for up to four. The bed linens are 100% cotton with feather and down duvets and pillows, and cotton blankets.

Please note this property due to its history and location is not suitable for those with mobility needs.
Please also note this is a mountain-side property and the drive to the property is singe track and steep!
As this is a working form unfortunately dogs are not permitted. Thank you.
