Prepare to discover the wonders and delights of the Lake District National Park, boasting excitement and adventure for guests of all ages. Be sure to pack your walking boots and explore this invigorating area on foot, embarking on hikes up Lakeland fells including Scafell Pike and Great Gable (both 5 miles). Wild swimming is on offer at the nearby Wastwater lake (3 miles), whilst those hoping to try their hand at climbing, abseiling, kayaking and beyond will benefit from close proximity to the West Lakes Adventure Centre (10 miles). A stay on the west of the national park also puts Cumbria’s remarkable coastline just a short drive away. Venture to the nearby village of Seascale (7 miles) to discover miles of shingle beach.
Head inside and soak up the home-from-home nature of this lovingly presented cottage. Enter first into the open-plan kitchen and dining area with space for four to sit down together. High ceilings and skylights ensure this room is flooded with light and full use of the oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher ensures everyone is fed and watered. You’ll also find a small welcome pack with tea, coffee and cleaning essentials ready and waiting for you on arrival. Step into the cosy lounge space with its cushy sofas and Smart TV, which is linked to the internet to ensure your viewing is not interrupted by the remote location of the cottage. All freeview channels or log into your TV accounts, so you can enjoy a great night in, watching all your favourite shows. From here, stairs lead down to the ground floor with two bedrooms. Both of these are presented with original beams and antique wooden furniture. The first bedroom is a cosy twin and the second is a double bedroom that’s perfectly suited to two. Finally, find a family bathroom on this floor with WC and shower.
Step outside to soak up the wonderful landscapes from your unenclosed garden (all dogs must be kept on a lead, this is a working farm, with Herdwick sheep, goats and free-range chickens). Furnished with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, this pretty lawn space truly completes the property. Out here you’ll also find a separate outbuilding with washing machine and tumble dryer for your use. You can even charge your electric car from the shared car charging point.
Please note: You will need a car when staying at this property.
