David Kynaston | Deep into the Sixties

Sun 22 Nov 2026 | 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Our greatest social historian David Kynaston continues to revolutionise how we see post-war Britain. The new instalment of his Tales of a New Jerusalem series is Deep into the Sixties, which covers the short but intense period from after Churchill’s death in 1965 to England’s Wembley triumph in July 1966. Join David as he uses a plethora of contemporary sources, including diaries of ordinary people, to paint a richly nuanced picture of this time of optimism and patriotism, immense change and unexpected stasis.
