Donated by Fringe Society
THESE TICKETS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN OR RECEIVE THEIR TREATMENT IN EITHER EDINGBURGH OR THE LOTHIANS
We are pleased to be part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Community Ticketing Initiative.
There are a range of tickets that have been donated and if successful in your application you will be provided with a weblink and code so you can browse and apply for tickets of your choice for you and your family / Carers.
Please notes, we are not the only organisation part of this initiative so tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The code you will be given is monitored and is only for the use of cancer patients and their families and carers so this must not be distributed to anyone else.
CTI is possible thanks to the generosity of the artists who donate tickets to their shows. These artists can often be smaller-scale, independent
and community-minded – they’re eager to share the joy of performance, even if this reduces their income from ticket sales. They are not paid or reimbursed to do so, but benefit by having a happy and supportive audience.
By using the Community Ticketing Initiative, you agree to support the artist by only booking tickets you know will be used, and by letting us know if the ticket recipient can no longer make it to a show.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is one of the greatest celebrations of arts and culture on the planet, and it takes place right here on our doorstep every August, with performers coming from all over the world to showcase their work.
We want everyone to feel part of the Fringe, including local audiences who might otherwise be unable to attend. The Community Ticketing Initiative (CTI) provides free Fringe tickets for people in and around Edinburgh; these tickets are generously
donated by Fringe artists, companies and venues.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is open to all. There is no artistic director, and no single company or person who decides what is included in the programme. One of the most important things about the Fringe is that we proudly welcome anyone with a story to
tell and a venue to host them.
All sorts of spaces turn into venues during the Fringe: theatres and art galleries, gardens, tents and lecture rooms, churches and community centres, but also taxi cabs, hotel rooms and even a chicken coop in the past!
