Project for Children affected by cancer in Norfolk & Suffolk
Supported by: Tesco Community Grants Scheme
We are proud to announce that with £1,500 of project funding from Tesco we were able to provide £16,556 worth of gifts and experiences to 153 children and young people affected by cancer in Norfolk, giving them ‘Something To Look Forward To’. Providing respite and opportunities to create positive memories with family and friends has increased young people affected by cancer’s emotional health and wellbeing, feelings of isolation and their sense of self and identity. Thanks to all our gift and experience donors for helping us achieve our aims and of course to Tesco for their support.
We have now received support from the Private Fund – PFF through Suffolk Community Foundation to help us scale up this project in Suffolk.
With their funding we aim to support at least 500 children affected by cancer by providing at least £15,000 worth of gifts, experiences and essential items. This would give children affected by cancer in Suffolk the opportunity to be prioritised for support for provision including tickets to attractions, special days out and cottage holidays both in Suffolk and across the rest of the UK.
