Gift types explained

‘Main gifts’ tend to be larger, one off gifts with a high value including cottage holidays, retreats, hotels stays etc. You are eligible to receive up to 1 ‘main gift’ per year however an application does not always guarantee you will be allocated the gift. ‘Main gifts’ are labelled on the website and promoted as #MainGifts via social media.

‘Additional gifts’ tend to be smaller, regular or lower value gifts including restaurant meals, jewellery, complimentary therapy etc. You are eligible to receive up to 2 ‘additional gifts’ per year however an application does not always guarantee you will be allocated the gift. ‘Additional Gifts’ are labelled on the website and promoted as #AdditionalGifts via social media.

Sometimes we are donated last minute gifts or several of the same gifts for example tickets to a show or beauty bundles etc. You are eligible to receive unlimited ‘extra gifts’ per year however an application does not guarantee you will be allocated the gift. ‘Extra Gifts’ are labelled on the website and promoted as #ExtraGifts via social media.

Would you like to join a small, dedicated team, making a positive difference to people at a time it’s needed most?

We’d love to hear from you if you share our passion, have service or operational experience and are confident communicating with a wide range of people.

In this role, you’ll support STLFT beneficiaries by allocating gifts and experiences in line with the charity’s criteria and processes. Our service is busy and varied and you’ll enjoy working as part of a focused team creating meaningful change.
