Job Vacancy: Office & Projects Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated professional to be responsible for the the day-to-day running and administration of the ‘Something To Look Forward To’ service and it’s projects.

‘Something To Look Forward To’ is a family founded cancer charity in its 9th year of operations and has achieved considerable growth and development over the last three years.

This role is central to our successful operations in delivering an award winning service which improves the lives of people affected by cancer poverty across the UK.

The principal objectives are to act as the gatekeeper of our organisation, coordinate the day-to-day operations of the charity’s services including assessing, allocating and administering ‘gifts’ and ‘experiences’ to beneficiaries and assisting in evaluating the services’ impact on its beneficiaries.

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of people affected by cancer poverty.
  • Experienced in office management, IT, administration and project coordination.
  • Able to create positive relationships with beneficiaries, partners, donors and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Efficient and able to prioritise.

Key Responsibilities

  • To act as the gatekeeper of the organisation, responding to communications from beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.
  • To coordinate the delivery of ‘gifts’ and ‘experiences’ to people affected by cancer via our nationwide, regional, diagnosis specific and special projects in partnership with the management team
  • To be responsible for the smooth running of the office by carrying out clerical tasks and maintaining office supplies.

Skills and Experience

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant administrative/clerical experience within a charity or business environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a range of people including beneficiaries, cancer agencies, business donors and the wider team.
  • Competency in the use of IT including back end and front end of a WordPress website, Excel, Outlook, Word and Content Management Systems.

Role and Salary

  • This is a hybrid (home/office) based role which will involve time in our Cambridge office with opportunities for home working where appropriate.
  • 30 hours per week (flexible and option for job share).
  • £23,600 – £25,000 pro rata 30 hours per week (flexible/hybrid working between home and our Cambridge based office).
