Fundraiser: Heather Taylor
Event:No Sugar November
Date of the event: November 2022
Hi everyone, Heather here!
As many of you know, I live with secondary breast cancer which means the breast cancer has spread to other parts of my body, making it incurable and meaning I am on treatment for life.
I have decided to take on the No Sugar Challenge which means cutting out sugar completely during the month of November and I am doing this for two reasons.
Firstly, for my health and the possibility to lose some weight. I hope to continue with less sugar in my diet post November in a bid for a healthier lifestyle.
Secondly, because I want to support a small family founded and delivered charity which I believe in wholeheartedly and have had a lot of support from during my cancer journey.
The charity ‘Something To Look Forward To’ work with businesses and companies to encourage them to donate gifts and experiences which they then match to people affected by cancer via their charity website.
I have benefitted from the following gifts and experiences which have had a huge impact on my life:
* A night’s stay and meal at Ye Old Ferrie Inn
* Admission tickets to Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair
* Jennifer Young Oncology Treatments
These gifts and experiences have given me opportunities to relax and create memories and now I want to give back to help other people like me access their support.
